Our founder spent years running fittings at a big-box retailer where sessions were built around selling a specific brand's shot-shape story. Clients would leave with a new driver that curved less — but the club still wasn't sending the ball where they were aiming. Nobody had checked face angle at impact against the actual target line.
Start Line Lab opened in Gilbert in 2017 with a simple house rule: before any conversation about shot shape, we confirm the ball is starting where the golfer intended. Grip and lie angle get checked first, because they're often the real source of a face that's fighting the target line before the swing even starts down.
