Iron Fitting

Lie angle does more work on your start line with irons than almost any other single spec in the bag — a couple degrees off and every approach shot starts left or right of where you're aiming, no matter how solid the strike.

Why Dynamic Lie Matters

Measured at Impact, Not at Address

A static lie angle reading — the club resting on a bench at address — tells you almost nothing about what happens when your hands, weight, and spine angle are all moving through impact at speed. We use impact tape on a lie board to read your actual dynamic lie for every iron in the set, then adjust from there.

Too upright, and the toe lifts at impact, sending shots left of target. Too flat, and the heel lifts, sending shots right. Both errors are correctable, and both are common on off-the-rack sets built for an average posture that may not match yours.

What Actually Changes in an Iron Fitting

Lie Angle

Adjusted bend-by-bend and re-verified with impact tape on the lie board, not just eyeballed against a static chart.

Length

Longer isn't automatically better — a length that lets you stand comfortably at the correct posture usually produces a more repeatable start line than a longer club chasing distance.

Shaft Flex & Weight

Shapes tempo and release timing, which interacts with lie angle to determine your actual dynamic lie at impact, not just the number stamped on the hosel.

Grip Size

Checked across the full set, since a grip that's the wrong size changes hand rotation and can shift face angle even when lie angle is perfectly matched.

Set Composition

Where irons stop and hybrids take over is decided by real carry gaps from your session, not a standard set makeup assumption.

Offset

More offset can help delay the face from closing too early for players who tend to hook approach shots; less offset suits players whose start line already tracks straight.

Get Your Dynamic Lie Checked

Sessions run 60–90 minutes and cover your full set, from long iron to short iron.
